Mitcham's & More Festival and
Sounds Around the Corner

The weekend of 3–4 September saw the second Mitcham's & More Festival, with Sounds Around the Corner providing a wide variety of music performed by local musicians, and JezO entertaining everyone with his unique magic act.

The main events took place in the car park of Barclays, with other performances in the Victoria Homes Pavilion and the Manor Care Home. The day was well attended despite some rainy weather, and people enjoyed an eclectic mix of jazz, singer-songwriters, folk, a ukulele band and other local bands and musicians. Also on offer were food and drink stalls, children's activities as well as JezO's hilarious magic show.

The festival raised hundreds of pounds for charities WinterComfort and Rowan. A huge thank-you to the many people who made the event such a success, in particular JezO, Alastair Boyles, Adrian Medd, Polly Plouviez and all the musicians, all of whom gave their time free of charge.
